The partners participating in the international project will gather for a Joint Training in Modena to conduct joint training on the educational tools created to promote digital and critical skills among young people, parents, and educators

In a continuous effort to strengthen digital skills, critical thinking, and media literacy in Europe, the DoCHECK! project will hold its third in-person meeting in Modena, Italy. This event, scheduled from February 26th to 28th at the Centro Culturale Luigi Ferrari, aims primarily to train participants in the materials developed by the DoCHECK! team to promote open education and generate free educational resources (OER).

The meeting will bring together the six DoCHECK! partners from different European countries, including FundaciĆ³n Cibervoluntarios (Spain), EPAL Kaisarianis (Greece), the European School of Brussels II (Belgium), Centro culturale Francesco Luigi Ferrari (Italy), WeSchool (Italy), and Newtral (Spain). The agenda is carefully designed to foster collaboration and exchange of ideas among these partners.

The opening day will start with a comprehensive review of the progress made to date, followed by the presentation of open educational resources for students. Additionally, the methodology for testing the OER with students will be explored to conduct a detailed evaluation.

The second day of the event will include presentations on OER aimed at parents and educators, followed by discussions on the testing methodology with these groups. The final day will focus on preparing the concept of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), as well as discussions on communication and dissemination to reinforce the project’s results dissemination strategy.

Finally, the next steps of the project will be reviewed and any general doubts will be addressed before concluding with the final evaluation of the event and a joint training activity.

The DoCHECK! meeting promises to be an invaluable opportunity to strengthen collaboration among partners and advance the shared mission of promoting media literacy in Europe.
